R and R Property Rehab was started back in 2009 in Mesa, Arizona, during the mortgage foreclosure crisis. The owners, Brian and Margaret, found there was a need to clean up and repair homes and businesses that people were forced to abandon. They had a desire to help their friends and community regain a sense of order as well as help make abused properties fit to be homes and businesses again.

Brian has experience with interior finish work back into the mid 1990’s while attending Texas A&M University and with interior decorating dating to the 1980’s in Longview, Texas, where his mother was an accomplished and featured interior decorator. Yet, his focused venture into remodeling and construction did not start in earnest until he purchased his first home in 2006.

Brian then teamed up with his future spouse, Margaret, on a complete rehab house in 2008. Together they worked while weathering Hurricanes Gustav and Ike while addressing areas from structure, to electric, finish plumbing, tile, cabinetry and more! The couple have since worked on their home as well as family and friends’ homes in Arizona, Texas, and Nebraska.

Brian and Margaret first worked with the Restoration Industry in 2010 when Brian worked as Director of Facilities for Maggie’s Place, a Phoenix-based non-profit. He helped navigate the charity through claims and reconstruction efforts after a fire loss to one of the charity’s properties. He also helped manage additional facilities in the Phoenix area as well as Idaho.

R and R Property Rehab arrived in Houston in the wake of Hurricane Harvey at the request of family in Dickinson, Texas. Upon seeing the vast need as well as mixed results of other efforts to recover after the storm, Brian and Margaret decided to stay and help their families’ community.

Brian has earned Certifications from the IICRC in: Water Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, Fire Restoration, Odor Technician and Applied Microbial Remediation. R and R Property Rehab is a proud member of the Greater Houston Homebuilders’ Association and the GHBA Remodelers Council.
